This is a bit embarrassing. A few days ago I posted that I was 60 days out from my trip to Africa. Well... that was at typo. I have since corrected it, but it should have been 70 days.
Today really is the day. I'm really 60 days out from right now. 60 days from today I will be landing at Gregoire Kayibanda International Airport, Kigali, Rwanda at about 7 PM local time. Whee! I'll spend a couple of days at the Chez Lando hotel, where I will meet the rest of the safari group, then we head off on our safari. Our first stop will be Ruhengeri, Rwanda where we will spend two days gorilla tracking. It's exciting and scary all rolled together because I have very little idea what to expect. Despite reading everything I can find, viewing other's pictures, watching TV and movies my experience will be unique.
And now back to Hemingway's Green Hills of Africa.
