A public works crew in Alameda discovered a skull and other human remains while performing routine maintenance Wednesday. So if the concrete the bones were under is from the '20s, then was that a prohibition-related killing? A mystery! Hopefully we'll find out the resolution to this story.
The bones were found shortly before 9:30 a.m. as the city crew was removing a slab of concrete on the 3000 block of Washington Street, police Lt. Bill Scott said. Under the concrete, employees saw the top of a skull and part of a jaw and notified police.

This Week On Law & Order
Not really, but I did come across this odd story from Alameda that could have been right out of the Law & Order series.
