Costa Rica Day 5: "Help me, I'm Melting!"

Rain, rain, rain, rain and more goddamned rain.

The rain started last night about 8PM, not long after I got back to my cabin for the night. I wasn't too concerned, though. The pattern has been that it rains much of the night but is done by morning, hold off for most of the day, then rains again at night. Not today, damnitall. It was still raining at 6AM when the Corcovado tour was gearing up to leave. I was walking down the stairs to the boat, still trying to make up my mind when I decided that I was more worried about my camera equipment in the rain that I should be. So I didn't go. This was a terribly disappointing decision but I figured it would be better for me to be disappointed than miserable all day, in the rain, and come back with a ruined camera.

I spent most of the day in my hammock reading and napping. Tomorrow I head back to San Jose for the night before returning home.
