Are we really that stupid?

John McCain pisses me off.

He pisses me off because he thinks we're stupid, and he doesn't bother to try to hide it. He should piss you off as well. Last night he had the gall to stand up at the GOP convention and say "change is coming." Change from what, Senator? You've been in Congress for 26 years. You're not the solution to the problem; you are the problem.

He thinks you're stupid, America, because he thinks he can say a few pretty words, like, "change is coming" and you will forget that he was part of the Keating Five scandal; that he was a prime instigator of the disastrous Vietnam Iraq quagmire we are now embroiled in; that his economic advisor, Phil Gramm, the man who called us a "nation of whiners" is one of the reasons the housing market is in meltdown right now; that his "president," George W. Bush, and his political party has run up the largest budget deficit of any country in the history of, well, history; that he has promised to start more needless and wasteful wars of aggression against countries who pose no threat to us, like Iraq Iran or Syria. The list goes on.

McCain saying "change is coming" is just as stupid as George Bush telling the military, during his 2000 campaign, that "help is on the way." How did that work out, eh? Not so well.

This country is in the situation it is in right because of John McCain and George Bush, not in spite of them. The GOP is a party of wannabe Fascists and kleptocrats. Anyone seriously considering voting for these criminals should ask themselves if they also "believe in UFOs, astral projections, mental telepathy, ESP, clairvoyance, spirit photography, telekinetic movement, full trance mediums, the Loch Ness monster and the theory of Atlantis?"

America, you need to look long and hard at yourself over the next 60 days, and ask yourself what kind of country do you want to continue to be. De you like being a pariah, and bully, and torturer who starts wars with countries who can't defend themselves or do you want to be something better? If you want to be that something better then try to live to up the promise and ideals the founders (who were all liberals, by the way) put down in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. Or you can just let John W. McSame call you stupid. It's your choice America.

By the way, Sarah Palin you should read the latter document. It will tell you what the Vice President does, since you don't seem to know.
