R.I.P. George Carlin

I've been trying to come up with something pithy to post about the death of comedian George Carlin. So far I haven't been having much luck, and I just don't feel like posting the "Seven Dirty Words" just because I can. So I think I'll just let the man speak for himself (iTunes Store link).

I will say that I was first exposed to Carlin's brand of subversive humor on the premier of the the original Saturday Night Live show, in 1975, at the tender age of 10. My dad let me stay up to watch with him and I'm probably the way I am today because of that. Thanks, dad!

To this day Carlin's "Baseball-Football" bit is just about the funniest thing around.
