This story would be laugh-out-loud funny if it weren't so sadly pathetic.
Sometime over the last week or so Dunkin' Donuts unveiled a new ad campaign featuring the cute and adorable Rachael Ray. So what's the problem? In the ad Ms. Ray is wearing a scarf which the lunatic right-wing bloggers claim is a "terrorist scarf." I'm not making this up. You can see a picture here. In the picture the scarf Ms. Ray is wearing is obviously not a keffiyeh, which is a traditional article of clothing in the Arab culture. The sadly pathetic part is that Dunkin' Donuts caved in to these lunatics (who, incidentally, are acting much like the terrorists they claim they are saving us from) and pulled the ad. So now these chicken-hawk cowards of the lunatic right-wing are emboldened and will continue to harass and bother other companies they take a dislike to.
Today I will start wearing my actual kaffiyeh much more. And if one of you cowards would like to say something to me about it you'll certainly get more than you bargained for.
I agree, this reaction is way over the top. How ridiculous.
