I bought a new lens today. I was talking with my friend Paul yesterday and we were discussing the merits of Canon and Sigma lenses and my want of the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L lens. We ended the conversation with me saying that I had pretty much convinced myself to go with the Canon over the Sigma. Until this morning, that is.
For some strange reason, as I was viewing the Amazon page for the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 IF EX DG HSM AF lens I found myself buying it and choosing 2nd day shipping. Definitely an impulse buy of a sort. At any rate I think I made a good choice. I've been happy with the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 I bought and I expect this lens to be just as good.
