Obama for America photographer David Katz has uploaded some photos from Friday's presidential debate to Flickr . I think the ones with the Senator on stage are the best composed photos, but this one is my favorite.
We don't know what is going through the Senator's mind right now, just a few minutes before the debate starts, but because of the simple composition, and the use of mirrors in the shots allow us to put our own interpretation on the picture. Is he thinking? Is he praying? Is he tantric breathing? We don't know, and that is what makes the picture powerful. We are allowed to make the picture our own.
I think this is art.
