Time for the Super Delegates to Step Up

The numbers started stacking up against Sen. Clinton in the Democratic primary in March, not long after she did not win the decisive victory in February her campaign said she would. With Sen. Obama's win in Oregon yesterday the numbers are very clear now. Sen. Obama will be the Democratic nominee for president.

Sen. Obama has 1,956 delegate to Sen. Clinton's 1,776. That's just 69 away from the 2,025 needed to win the nomination outright. So, undeclared Democratic super delegates, it is time for you to step up and declare your support. I'm looking directly at you, Mr. Gore.

Sen. Obama has this nomination wrapped up. It is time to end the bickering so the Democratic party can get down to the tough job of beating the pants off the Rethugnicans in November.

Sen. Clinton: Do the right thing. Withdraw from the race gracefully before you are forced out by circumstances.
